A Little Cheesecake

A small 6 x 6 oil painting on cradled board of something for the sweet tooth. I did a large version of this in pastel, but wanted a looser version while trying my hand at these popular smaller sizes.

I think I could get into this! Am I the last to discover how fun these small ones are?

This is simply amazing! You capture the translucency of the syrup so well, as well as the light reflecting off of the cherries. This really makes me want cheesecake.

This is really lovely ... absolutely oozingly so! But I think that the pastel one just has a slight edge!

Both R beautiful.

I stopped in to take a peek...the first thing I see is the piece of cheesecake. It looks real and now, I'm starving. Next time I'm having some breakfast before I stop in. :-)

Thanks! I think I am working backwards and doing small studies AFTER I've done the big ones.
