Pint Size

Just a baby... and a cutie to boot. 8.5" x 11" in colored pencil on drafting film, once again. I just cannot resist doing cat eyes.

These cat paintings have been so awsome to view, they are amazing! This one I think is my favorit. I might buy some drafting film and try it out...? Do you use a certain type of film? Thanks.

Hi Johnnie,
I LOVE your work...I mean seriously! I have shown my husband your site (and ranted and raved about it) to the point that today when I had to go to the art store for paints, he actually said he would like to try the colored pencils on drafting film. (He is an "old" draftsman who used to use that mylar for mapping!) So, you have inspired not only me, but my spouse as well. This is yet another amazing painting...where do you get all your cat models? :-)

Thank you! You've inspired me to try a new medium and I just ordered film and pencils. Yes, believe it or not I thought I had every supply I thought possible but not colored pencils. My kids have them, but I don't.

The realism in these cats is mindboggling. Absolute photorealism in fact. The light and luminosity in the eyes seals the deal for me.

Continued success!

No, not a drawing, right? Unbelievable, again. The yes are just extrordinary. I cannot begin to think about how you've achieved that. It makes my brain hurt just thinking about it.
